Beau Akey and Beau Jelsma have teamed up and partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters Barrie! Each Saturday home game will see members of Big Brother Big Sisters Barrie attend a Colts game while taking in warm-ups from down on the bench.
We would like to say a BIG thank you to the Barrie Colts Beau’s Buddies partnership for another great season of hockey for the BBBS Barrie members. This opportunity allowed our families and matches to meet the Beau’s and experience a Barrie Colts game! It was truly an experience that created core memories!
Thank you so much from the 50+ kids, parents, and mentors that were able to have this experience this hockey season. Go Colts Go!!

Just reaching out to say thanks for the tickets to the Colts game last night. Ended up being an exciting game (Colt’s shootout win!) and Jaxon enjoyed getting down to the bench for part of the warmups and meeting Beau – who was great with him – as well as getting an autographed puck. Cool experience for him. Please pass along our thanks to Colin and the Colts team, for the great program they’ve offered here for the kids.
